Unusual Shark Thrill Premieres Tonight on Syfy

Syfy debuts the movie “Sharknado” tonight at 7 p.m. CT. The antagonist in this campy thriller is a huge tornado that (spoiler alert) pulls sharks from the Pacific Ocean and hurls them on Los Angeles.

Crazy as it seems, many critics couldn’t help but enjoy the oddly named film with the implausible plot and mediocre special effects.  The New York Daily News gave “Sharknado” four of five stars, saying, “It’s absurd. It’s ridiculous. If you’re a fan of low-budget horror movies and you miss it, you will regret it for the rest of your life.”

Syfy is available to most Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
