Tonight on Fox: ‘Ice Age – A Mammoth Christmas’

The half-hour animated special “Ice Age – A Mammoth Christmas” will air tonight on Fox, 8 p.m. CT.

Here’s the breakdown: When Sid destroys Manny’s favorite decorations, an angry Manny convinces Sid he is on Santa’s naughty list. Sid, Crash, Eddie and Peaches head to the North Pole to change Santa’s mind. But when they accidentally destroy Santa’s Workshop, it’s up to them to orchestrate a Christmas miracle.

The Arctic herd is brought to life by the voice talents of John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Ciara Bravo, Queen Latifah and Denis Leary.

FOX, FOX Sports 1, Will Present ‘Being: Mike Tyson’

The FOX Sports Emmy Award-nominated “Being” documentary series is back with a six-episode look at former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.

Being: Mike Tyson” premieres Sunday, Sept. 22, on FOX, either before (2:30 – 3:00 p.m. CT) or after (3:30 – 4:00) local NFL coverage. The remaining five episodes will move to a regular time slot, Tuesdays on FOX Sports 1 at 9:30 p.m., beginning Sept, 24. Check local listings for Sunday’s premiere episode time.

Fox Sports 1 is available to most Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

TV News Search Service Launched

The Internet Archive is now offering a free TV news search service. The TV News Search & Borrow’s database contains roughly 350,000 television news video clips and transcripts starting in 2009. Users can access programs produced by 20 different broadcast and cable networks. The project also allow users to borrow the video clips via DVD. Program clips are added 24 hours after they’re first aired, with older programs also being added over time.

Beyond being a tool for researchers and news junkies, the service is designed to help engaged citizens better understand the issues and candidates in the 2012 elections.
