Catch Three New Series Premieres Tonight on Cable

Three original cable series will premiere tonight: Discovery Channel’s “How We Invented the World,” Spike TV’s “Urban Tarzan,” and ABC Family’s “Twisted.”

“How We Invented the World” examines four modern inventions: cell phones, cars, planes, and skyscrapers. Each episode in this four-part series reveals the stories and seemingly random events that ultimately led to the creation of these inventions. It airs at 8 p.m. CT.

On “Urban Tarzan,” get to know a famed animal wrangler and former Steve Irwin associate who rescues escaped animals. Showtime is 9:30 p.m. CT.

On “Twisted,” a troubled teen reconnects with two childhood friends. This is a special presentation of the pilot episode, which will play again June 11 as a kickoff to the show’s summer run. Tonight’s show starts at 8 p.m. CT.

Discovery Channel, Spike TV and ABC Family are available to all or virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

New ‘World’s Worst Tenants’ Season Starts Tonight

What do “Seinfeld’s” Kramer, the cast of “Rent,” and The Incredible Hulk have in common?  They all made SpikeTV’s list of characters that landlords would probably not want as tenants.  Check out the full list, and then tune in to SpikeTV tonight for seven hours of back-to-back episodes of “World’s Worst Tenants,” including the new season premiere at 9 p.m. CT.
