Twelve Suddenlink employees recently earned the distinction of “Service Heroes,” based on their extraordinary commitment to serving customers, communities, and colleagues with excellence. Thirteen others earned honorable mentions. Read on to learn about the honorees.

Business Operations Manager Lora Atchley, Kingman, Ariz., for answering a charity’s request for help finding a particular toy for a child in need. Lora searched for and purchased the toy with her own money, and then secured a gift card for the child’s family.

Direct Sales and Marketing Specialist T Jay Conway, St. Joseph, Mo., for extinguishing a flame-engulfed bucket located near gasoline and propane containers that he discovered on a resident’s porch while making door-to-door inquiries.

Broadband Technician Byron Ephran, San Angelo, Texas, for helping a customer whose son was attempting to take his own life. Byron kicked down a locked door and prepared to use his CPR training until first responders arrived.

Broadband Technician Isaiah Flores, Amarillo, Texas, for his initiative in learning complex installations, helping create training materials, and volunteering his free time to train co-workers.

Broadband Technician Daniel Holliday, Cabot, Ark., for squeezing an extra service call into his busy schedule so a housebound customer could watch a televised funeral she was unable to attend.

Broadband Technician Paul Lambert, Onalaska, Texas, for calling 911, helping extinguish a shed fire, and guiding the resident’s chickens to safety.

Customer Care Representative David Lawrence, Tyler, Texas, whose technical skills and friendly manner prompted a customer to write to Suddenlink CEO Jerry Kent.

Customer Care Representative Debbie Matthews, Bryan, Texas, for helping a Walmart customer who was short on cash pay for her purchase. The customer noticed Debbie’s Suddenlink shirt and call the office to thank her.

Broadband Technician Jesse Reeves, Pineville, La., for making a service call visit easier for his customer by downloading a Mandarin-to-English translation app on his phone.

Technical Operations Manager Sam Richardson, Osburn, Idaho, for consistently working above expectations, especially during a demanding digital conversion project.
